CCHL Recap | Grads Advance and Nationals Wins Sunday Games

Ottawa, ON – During a Sunday afternoon game the Navan Grads won their series against the Pembroke Lumber Kings winning 4-3. The Rockland Nationals won against the Renfrew Wolves taking the game 8-1.

The first period saw Nico Paone strike first for Navan, setting the tone. Pembroke fought back hard in the second period with goals from Kyle Cameron and Sutton Murray, but Matthew Roy kept Navan in the game. The final period was intense, with Paone and Colin MacDougall scoring crucial goals for Navan, while Jayson Alergia kept Pembroke’s hopes alive. Goaltenders Jaeden Nelson and Kevin Jones were outstanding, making 35 and 34 saves

F | Renfrew 1 Rockland 8

Kyle Leonard set the pace in the first period, putting Rockland on the board. The second period saw an onslaught of goals from Jaden Davis, Aidan Dres, Owen Brady, and another from Leonard. In the final period, Samuel Dumont and Trystan-Felix Tremblay added to Rockland’s lead, while Noah VomScheidt managed to get Renfrew on the scoreboard. Rockland’s goaltender Benoit Forget stood strong with 18 saves, while Renfrew’s Viacheslav Gordeichuk made 22 saves.
